La World Soundtrack Academy et le Film Fest Gent annoncent les nommés "Film Composer of the Year", "Television Composer of the Year", "Best Original Song" ou encore "Discovery of the Year Award". Certains compositeurs ont reçu une double nomination : Nicholas Britell, Daniel Pemberton et Emile Mosseri. Voici la liste. Il s'agit de récompenser l'année 2020, on y retrouve ainsi des noms cités aux derniers Oscars, dont les vainqueurs de la statuette, et donc les favoris (Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross & Jon Batiste, pour "Soul").
