After studies in France in Musical High schools in Paris and Lyon (Ircam/ Sorbonne University/ Conservatoire supérieur de musique) in harmony, counterpoint , composition, conducting, musicology (Master 2 on georges Delerue's work and semantic in film music), Philippe Jakko attended to courses and master classes with professor and composers Philippe Manoury, Pierre Boulez, François Bernard Mâche. He began to work as a composer for differents things: Ballets for Dance companies, Music for theatre, for commercials, for short Films and Films, and rock and pop songs as well. He produced and composed several hit singles in France and Europe for Warner (Christophe Maé "Parce qu'on sait jamais"/ n°1 in France) , for TF1 network and sony/bmg music (Nomads "Yakalelo" / N°1 in France, N°5 in Holland, N°1 in Poland, N°4 in England on Mtv charts). Also for Universal and different labels…he worked with "Le studio d'imagination" and the US director Frederik du Chau ( the" Krostons" / StudioCanal ) for the score . Also on the french movie "Que D'Amour!" directed by Valérie Donzelli.
