David Arnold compose la musique de la série fantastique écrite par Neil Gaiman et réalisée par Douglas Mackinnon. Cette série explore l'amitié interdite entre un ange et un démon qui cherchent à empêcher l'apocalypse. La partition révèle un plaisir ludique pour la mélodie, déclinée en différentes versions, y compris une version rock presque métallique, qui reflète le ton humoristique de la série. On y ressent l'inspiration des airs classiques, tels que ceux de Chostakovitch entendus en saison 2, notamment à travers un air de valse joyeuse joué au clavecin et au violon. L'instrumentation évoque également les anges, avec des chœurs et des cloches.
