Paul Thomas Anderson

Dès 18 ans, il réalise un premier essai, "the Dirk Doggler story". Si ce court-métrage est un premier essai, il en reprendra l'histoire dans une partie d'un film suivant "Boogie Nights" (1997), 9 ans plus tard. Au milieu de sa scolarité à l'Université de cinéma de New York, il réalise "Cigarettes & Coffee", court-métrage qui sera remarqué dans des festivals.
